Roberto Arias Alegría has extensive work experience in information security.

From 2012 onwards, Roberto worked as the Chief Information Security Officer at Metaluxo Information Security, where they provided expert advice and assistance to startups and SMEs on matters of information security. Roberto'sresponsibilities included developing information security policies, disaster recovery plans, and business continuity plans, as well as performing vulnerability and risk assessments, conducting security awareness training, and organizing penetration testing projects. Roberto also advised on tools for protecting cloud infrastructure, APIs, and applications.

In 2022, Roberto joined Clue by Biowink as the Head of Information Security. This healthcare tech startup focuses on period tracking and conception, and information security is crucial due to the sensitive data they handle.

Prior to that, from 2019 to 2022, Roberto worked as an Information Security Architect at Quandoo, a leading restaurant reservation platform. Roberto played a key role in shaping the company's security posture, ensuring the adequate protection of private information through the use of the latest technologies and best practices. Roberto'sresponsibilities included risk analysis, modeling, and security assessments.

From 2016 to 2019, Roberto served as the Information Security Manager at NewStore, Inc., a mobile retail platform. Roberto contributed to delivering an extraordinary end-to-end shopping experience for consumers and optimized security for the small screen.

Additionally, Roberto held various roles in engineering and security from 2010 to 2012, including positions at ChemistDirect.co.uk, Various Companies, Orsiso (Aureliant Pte Ltd), and Websalad. Roberto also worked as a Data Analyst at PEMEX from 2003 to 2006.

Roberto Arias Alegría has a diverse educational background in the field of information technology and cybersecurity. In 2002, they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Informatics from the Tecnológico Nacional de México campus Villahermosa. Roberto furthered their education by pursuing a Master of Information Technology degree in System Security at Macquarie University in 2006-2007. In 2009, they obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in Policing, Intelligence, and Counter-Terrorism from the same university. In 2018, Roberto attended a short course on Cybersecurity at Harvard University. Additionally, they have obtained certifications including the "Security in the Google Cloud Platform Specialization" from Coursera in 2019 and the "QualysGuard Certified Specialist" in Vulnerability Management from the institution Qualys in 2012.
