Prageeth Samarasinghe

Prageeth Samarasinghe has a diverse work experience in the field of civil and structural engineering. Prageeth started their career as a Senior Construction Project Engineer at Maga Engineering in 2004. Prageeth then progressed to the role of Construction Project Manager, where they demonstrated expertise in project scheduling, cost management, and quality assurance.

In 2015, Prageeth joined Larsen A & CE as the Head of Civil & Structural Engineering. Prageeth was responsible for overseeing the engineering activities and ensuring the successful completion of projects.

Following this, Prageeth worked as the Chief Structural Engineer at Design & Structural Consortium (Pvt) Ltd. Prageeth'sresponsibilities included conducting design analysis and detailing for mid-rise and low-rise buildings. Prageeth also prepared general arrangements and structural plans while adhering to British standards.

Prageeth then joined Fairway Holdings (Pvt) Ltd as a Senior Manager - Project Planning & Construction. In this role, they created detailed project schedules and collaborated with construction administration consultants to ensure adherence to specifications.

Prageeth later moved on to Resource Management Consultants/ Sunil Gunawardene Associates as a Senior Structural Engineer. During their tenure, they contributed to structural design and analysis projects.

In 2019, Prageeth assumed the position of Consultant Civil and Structural Engineer at MAARAA Architects. Prageeth excelled in structural designs, calculations, and reports, while also providing on-site supervision and inspections.

Prior to their current role, Prageeth worked remotely as a Structural Engineer at Dan Structures pty ltd, specializing in high-rise, mid-rise, and low-rise buildings. Prageeth'sresponsibilities included structural modeling, analysis, design, and preparation of assessment reports in compliance with international standards.

Currently, Prageeth is employed as a Project Engineer (Structural) at Cluttons, where they continue to apply their technical expertise in structural engineering.

Prageeth Samarasinghe holds a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Civil/Structural from the University of Peradeniya. Prageeth is currently pursuing a postgraduate degree in Structural Engineering at the University of Moratuwa, which they are expected to complete in 2022.
