Samantha Macro

Samantha Macro is an accomplished finance leader with extensive experience in the biopharmaceutical and related sectors. Currently serving as Chief Financial Officer at CN Bio since May 2023, Samantha has held numerous senior finance positions, including VP of Finance at Mestag Therapeutics and Global Head SVP of Group Finance at Horizon Discovery. Prior roles include Global Operations Finance Director and Regional Finance Director at Johnson Matthey, as well as Innovative Medicines Unit Finance Director/CFO for AstraZeneca's biologics division. Samantha began their career at Marks and Spencer and has worked in various financial capacities at PwC and other firms. Academic credentials include a PhD in Researching Global Innovation Networks and Strategy within Biopharma R&D from Loughborough University, along with multiple MBA degrees and a BSc in Economics.
