Cory Nelson

Cory Nelson is an experienced law enforcement and security professional currently serving as an Executive Protection Agent at American Family Insurance since July 2023. With a robust background, Nelson has held various significant roles including Project on American Justice at CNA Corporation, Executive Fellow at the National Policing Institute, and Captain at Madison Wisconsin Police Department. Additional experience includes previous positions as a Lieutenant in both Madison Police Department and Madison Police- Investigative Services, as well as a Police Detective specializing in narcotics and special investigations. Nelson's educational qualifications include a WI Certified Public Manager degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a degree in Natural Resource Management from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, and completion of Command College through the Wisconsin Department of Justice.
