Tom Russom has a wide range of work experience spanning multiple industries. Tom began their career as an A/V Technician at PDA - Production Design Associates from 2001 to 2004. From 2002 to 2005, they worked as an Event Coordinator at the North Charleston Coliseum/PAC/Charleston Area Convention Center, where they coordinated tradeshows, conventions, and meetings while also training and reviewing employee performance. Tom then joined the Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority as an Event Manager from 2006 to 2009, where their responsibilities included managing client and guest relations, floor management of events, and maintaining relationships with vendors and partners. In 2010, they became a Network Administrator at Maxwell Group, Inc., overseeing the redesign, configuration, and management of a 13-site network while also establishing a helpdesk and managing procurement and project elements. Since 2012, Tom has been working at CNP Technologies in various roles, including Systems/Network Engineer and Sr. Systems/Network Engineer, where they are responsible for designing, installing, supporting, and maintaining network systems and software, implementing disaster recovery solutions, and providing corrective design services for network infrastructure issues.
Tom Russom has obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Information Technology from Columbia Southern University. Tom also holds an Associate of Arts and Sciences (A.A.S.) degree in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services from Trident Technical College. In terms of certifications, Tom has obtained the CMNA certification from Cisco Meraki in February 2018, the VCP6-DCV certification from VMware in April 2017, the MCSA Server 2012R2 certification from Microsoft in 2014, the MCTS Server 2008R2 certification from Microsoft in 2011, and the Sonicwall CSSA certification from SonicWALL Solutions in 2010.
