Christophe Decoudun serves as Maître de conférences and researcher in archaeology and the history of ancient Asian arts at the Institut Catholique de Paris since January 2023, where responsibilities include supervising Master’s theses and leading seminars on Chinese arts and culture. Beginning in September 2024, Christophe Decoudun will take on the role of research engineer at CNRS for a project exploring Central Asian empires during Antiquity. Additional academic roles include teaching art history at Ecole du Louvre and Chinese language and culture at Sorbonne Université, alongside research and cataloging expertise in Chinese and Indian collections. Prior teaching experience includes a significant position at Shandong University, focusing on humanities for French specialty students. Christophe Decoudun holds a Doctorate in Art History and Archaeology of East Asia from Sorbonne Université and a language certificate in Chinese from Wuhan University.
