Maria Loria has a strong background in human resources and talent acquisition. From 2013 to 2018, they worked as a Human Resource Coordinator at Ophthalmic Specialists of Michigan & Ambulatory Surgery Center, where they focused on process improvement and customer service. During their time there, they implemented a talent acquisition strategy and achieved paperless benefit enrollment.

From 2019 to 2020, Maria served as a Human Resource Director at Sunvera Group, a private equity backed Management Services Organization for Ophthalmic Specialists of Michigan. In this role, they led full-cycle human resource functions and clinic operations, as well as supported business development initiatives and oversaw the opening of several clinic and administrative facilities.

Most recently, Maria has been working at CNS Healthcare since 2020. Maria started as an Administrative Assistant II, CIO, where they provided administrative support to the Chief Information Officer. Maria then transitioned to the role of Project Manager, where they led project design and coordination for department and agency-wide initiatives. Currently, Maria holds the position of Director of Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning, overseeing a team of 7 direct reports and leading various HR functions such as talent acquisition, workforce planning, and performance management. Maria has achieved significant milestones in their role, including overhauling the applicant tracking system, implementing data-informed workforce planning initiatives, and developing career pathways to support agency and staff growth.

Maria Loria, SHRM-CP, SHRM-PASC, holds a Master of Science (M.S.) in Human Resources Administration from Central Michigan University, which they obtained from 2013 to 2018. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Interdisciplinary Health Studies from Michigan State University, where they studied from 2008 to 2012. In addition to their degrees, Maria has obtained several certifications, including the SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) in December 2017. Maria is also pursuing further certifications, such as the SHRM People Analytics Specialty Credential (PASC) and the Employing Abilities at Work certification, which they plan to obtain in 2023.
