Michelle furthered their education by obtaining an MBA in Human Resources Management from Strayer University from 2004 to 2008.

In addition to their degrees, Michelle has also acquired professional certifications. In 2010, they became a SHRM-Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) through the Society for Human Resource Management. Three years later, in June 2013, they obtained a Professional Human Resources (PHR) certification from the HR Certification Institute (HRCI).
