Hemie Collier M.S.Ed has worked in a variety of roles since 2007. From 2007-2008, Hemie worked as the Central/Western Iowa Events Coordinator for the African American Museum of Iowa. From 2008-2010, Hemie worked as the Defensive Backs Coach for Cornell College. From 2010-2011, Hemie worked as the Assistant Football, Assistant Track and Field Coach & Diversity Recruiter for Simpson College. During 2011, Hemie also worked as the Head Coach for the Iowa Crush Women's Professional Football Team. From 2013-2015, Hemie worked as the Wide Receivers and Tight Ends Coach/ Punt Team Coordinator for Concordia University Ann Arbor. From 2015-2016, Hemie worked as the Corner Backs Coach and Assistant Director of the Multicultural Academic Student Support Center for St. Cloud State University. Since 2016, Hemie has worked as the Senior Diversity Officer, Women's Lacrosse Defensive Coordinator & Strength and Conditioning Coach, Director of Intercultural Life, and Private Coach for Cornell College and CoachUp.

Hemie Collier M.S.Ed began their educational journey at Waukegan High School, graduating in 2000. Hemie then went on to earn a BA in Theirtory from Luther College in 2007. In 2013, they earned their Master of Science (M.S.) in Educational Leadership from Concordia University Ann Arbor. Hemie is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education (EdD) in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration at Concordia University Chicago, which they are expected to complete in 2024. Additionally, Hemie holds a K-12 School Administrators Certification from the State of Michigan obtained in 2015, as well as a Strength and Conditioning Certification from Expert Rating obtained in 2018.
