Emile van Rooyen

Emile van Rooyen has been working in various roles since 2008. Starting as a Tutor at Mobile Tuition, they then moved on to become a Student Assistant at the University of Johannesburg in 2010. In 2012, they worked as a Guest English Teacher and District Coordinator at the Gangwon Office of Education. From 2014 to 2019, they worked as a Team Leader at Singular Systems (Pty) Ltd, a Business Analyst at Smartr365, and an International Trade Consultant at KOTRA - Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency. Since 2020, they have been a Product Manager at Coadjute, where they work on world-first POCs with local and international institutions.

Emile van Rooyen completed a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) in Finance from the University of Johannesburg between 2008 and 2011. Emile then went on to obtain an Investment Management (Honours) degree from the same university in 2011. In 2019, they were awarded a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) from the Scrum Alliance. In 2020, they completed a course in Application of AI, InsurTech, and Real Estate Technology from Coursera. In 2021, they obtained an Algorithms & Data Structures Module from the University of York and an Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning Module from the same institution in April. Finally, in February 2022, they were awarded a Corda For Business Professional from R3.
