Ricardo Mendoza has a diverse work experience, spanning across various roles and organizations. Ricardo began their career in 2002 as an Associate Planning Deputy/ Council Aide at the City of Los Angeles, where they worked until 2008. Following that, they joined the U.S. House of Representatives and held positions such as Case Manager/ Field Representative, Senior Field Representative, and Deputy District Director. In 2016, Mendoza transitioned to the Lee Andrews Group, where they worked as Government and Public Affairs, Public Outreach, Associate Vice President of Community Outreach and Business Development, and eventually rose to the position of Vice President. In 2022, Mendoza assumed the role of Chief Business Development Officer at the Coalition for Responsible Community Development.

Ricardo Mendoza earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Chicano/a Studies from UCLA, where they studied from 2002 to 2006. Later, they pursued a Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.) with a focus on Management & Leadership at California State University, Northridge, completing it from 2013 to 2015.
