Dennis Fitzgerald

Dennis Fitzgerald is the current Head of Financial Controls at Coalition. Dennis was previously at Farmers Insurance from July 2019 to March 2022, where they were also the Head of Financial Controls. Dennis's responsibilities there included liaising with Zurich Insurance Enterprise Risk Management and external audit to execute the control testing strategy, coordinating with PwC & EY concerning external auditor transition processes. Dennis was also the principal touchpoint and correspondent to the State Department of Insurance Financial Exam. Dennis Fitzgerald has been driving mandated QA testing requirements adherence, joining with Zurich Insurance Quality Assurance. Dennis has also orchestrated the complete execution of annual SOX/MAR/ICFR testing program, across all units within Farmers Insurance, while steering timely deficiency remediation across all entities. In addition, they have led control environment design for promulgated International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Dennis Fitzgerald has also streamlined and improved the audit program by consolidating the overall controls’ environment.

Dennis Fitzgerald has an MBA in Accounting from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College, as well as a BA in Economics from the College of the Holy Cross. Dennis is also certified as a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) from ISACA, and as a Certified Internal Auditor from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc. Dennis is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from the AICPA.

They are on a team with Wilson Zhao - Head of Special Projects, Marcin Weryk - Head of Business Development, and Shawn Ram - Head of Insurance. Dennis Fitzgerald reports to Joshua Motta, Co-Founder & CEO.
