Chris Jones

Chris Jones has over 10 years of work experience in various engineering roles. Chris started their career as an engineering co-op at Harley Davidson Motor Company in 2008, where they worked in Research and Development (R&D) in capacity of technician and test engineer collecting and analyzing data. Chris also developed new processes to streamline vehicle measurements. Chris then worked as an engineering intern at Romac Inc. in 2012 and developed Best Practices for use of laboratory sensing equipment. Chris also worked at the University of Washington as a PhD candidate in the college of Mechanical Engineering, focusing on life cycle assessment (LCA) of conventional and alternative Energies.

From 2014 to 2015, Chris worked as a Senior Consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton and then from 2016 to 2019, as a Solar PV Design and Engineering professional at Third Sun Solar LLC. Chris later joined NextEra Energy Resources as a Project Manager & Design Engineer in 2019, where they designed commercial and utility scale photovoltaic systems for distributed generation.

From 2017 to 2022, Chris worked at Stellar AO as a Project Management Consultant, where they were a Consulting Engineer and Project Manager, assisting in process and product development. Chris was a Subject Matter Expert in renewable energy and energy storage systems and was proficient in Computer-Aided Design (CAD).

Currently, Chris works at Coast Energy as a Sales Engineer from May 2022.

Chris Jones earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Auburn University, which took him from 2007 to 2011. Chris then pursued a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Washington from 2012 to 2013.
