Nizar Ajeeb

Nizar Ajeeb has a diverse work experience in the field of technology and software engineering. Nizar is currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer at Cobblestone Energy since October 2020. Prior to this role, Nizar worked as the Chief Technology Officer at StartechEUS from May 2019 to October 2020, where they handled Tech Due Diligence, provided Tech support and guidance to portfolio companies and startups, conducted Tech workshops and seminars, and set partnership strategies/deals.

Nizar also served as the Executive Director at Holberton School Lebanon from May 2019 to October 2020, where they were responsible for directing the software engineering school and offering up-to-date tech courses in various tracks. Nizar worked as an Instructor in the Computer Engineering Department, teaching Python, C++, and Java programming courses at the American University of Beirut from January 2019 to June 2020.

Nizar's previous experiences include working as part of the Management Information System team at BBAC Bank from September 2018 to May 2019, working on Big Data Analytics, Data Warehouse, and Digital Transformation projects. Nizar has also worked as a Software Architect at Akka Technologies and Thales Group, where they contributed to projects related to the Dubai Smart City Expo 2020 and developed an integrated control center platform utilizing Big Data Processing and Analytics.

Before that, Nizar was a Software Architect at Capital Banking Solutions, where they translated client requirements into development and product teams, assessed and optimized existing products, and coordinated with the development team. Nizar also worked as a Software Engineer/Analytics Engineer at Mobilonia, where they built an Analytics product and extracted insights from user data to support managerial decisions.

Nizar began their career as a Full-Time Researcher at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology. Nizar holds an MBA from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.

Nizar Ajeeb started their education at the American University of Beirut in 2005, where they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering. During their time at the university, they also completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mathematics, a Minor in Philosophy, and a Secondary Teaching Diploma in Mathematics. Nizar graduated from the American University of Beirut in 2011. In 2011, they furthered their studies at the same university and obtained a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree in Computer and Communication Engineering in 2012. Nizar Ajeeb then went on to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, from 2017 to 2018.
