Tony Mitchell

Tony Mitchell, PhD has a diverse work experience beginning as a Research Engineer with the United States Air Force in 1993. From 2000 to 2003, they worked at the US Air Force Academy as the Director of Operations, Aeronautics Laboratory, and Associate Professor of Aeronautics. Tony later transitioned to roles at the USAF with increasing responsibility, such as being the Technical Director at the Asian Office of Aerospace Research and Development from 2003 to 2005. Tony then moved on to roles at Areté and BAE Systems before becoming the Vice President of Business Development and Strategy at Leidos in 2019. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President of Advanced Technology, Business Development, and Strategy at Cobham Advanced Electronic Solutions, showcasing their expertise in technology and strategy development.

Tony Mitchell, PhD holds a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Engineering from the United States Air Force Academy, a Master of Science in Aeronautics and Astronautics from the University of Washington, a Master of Engineering in Engineering Mechanics from the University of Florida, a Masters of Military Operational Art and Science from USAF Air Command and Staff College, and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering (Aero) from Pierre and Marie Curie University.
