Isaac Wong is the Vice President of Engineering at Cockroach Labs. Isaac has over 15 years of experience in the software industry, with a focus on platform architecture and data engineering.

Isaac Wong began their career at Medidata Solutions in July 2003. Isaac served as the Vice President of Platform Architecture, Medidata Inventor, where they were responsible for unifying clinical process workflows and user experience across Medidata. Isaac also oversaw Data Platform teams responsible for integrating data to drive smarter and safer clinical decisions through analytics, business intelligence, and data science. In addition, Wong directed mHealth teams responsible for enabling patient-centric trials through increased patient engagement and directly capturing sensor and patient data.

Wong left Medidata Solutions in August 2019 to join Cockroach Labs as the Vice President of Engineering. In their current role, they lead a team of engineers that build and maintain the CockroachDB database.

Isaac Wong studied mathematics as an undergraduate at Reed College. Isaac then went on to complete a Mathematics Ph.D Program at the University of Maryland. After that, they completed a Master's Degree in Mathematics at the University of Nevada, Reno.
