Robert Lee

Principal Architect at Cockroach Labs

Robert Lee has over 30 years of experience in the tech industry, starting their career as an Advanced System Engineer with EDS in 1990. In 1995, they transitioned to AT&T where they worked as a Senior Specialist for two years before joining Sun Microsystems in 1998. Robert spent 12 years with Sun, rising to the position of Principal Sales Consultant. In 2010, they left Sun to join Oracle Corporation, where they spent four years as Principal Sales Consultant. In 2014, they left Oracle to join MemSQL as Director of Sales Engineering. Robert spent three years with MemSQL before joining Cockroach Labs in 2017 as Head of Sales Engineering. Robert has been with Cockroach Labs for four years and is currently their Principal Architect.

Robert Lee started their educational career by obtaining a BS in Computer Engineering from Case Western Reserve University. Robert then obtained certification from Cockroach Labs in Getting Started with CockroachDB. Finally, they obtained certification from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT in IT Information Library Foundations Certification (ITIL).

Their manager is Benjamin Darnell, Co-Founder & Chief Architect.
