Zhicong L.

Zhicong L. is the current CTO and co-founder at Cococart. Prior to this, they worked as a software engineer intern at Dropbox, Figma, and Sprig.

At Dropbox, Zhicong built and launched photo editing tools in the core Dropbox Android app. Zhicong's work enabled rotating and cropping images from within the Dropbox app. Image modifications were performed losslessly, with EXIF metadata preserved as much as possible.

At Figma, Zhicong worked in the two-person Web Services team to deliver a folder-based file management system for users’ design files on the web. Zhicong also significantly improved the aesthetics and loading speed of the site. In particular, they overhauled the marketing, signup and onboarding pages to give a proper first-time user experience.

At Sprig, Zhicong worked on improving the quality of their food photos. Zhicong also created a new process for photographing food that was more efficient and resulted in higher quality photos.

Zhicong L. graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) from the University of California, Berkeley. Zhicong also attended Hwa Chong Institution.

Zhicong L. works with Kieran Q. Hyland - Head of Business Development & Talent, Cassandra Ong - Head of Partnerships, and Marcelo Wiermann - Head of Engineering. Zhicong L. reports to Derek Low, Co-Founder & CEO.
