Sara Bekerman has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Sara began their career as an Event Coordinator at the American Lung Association of Florida- Central Area in 2007. Sara then worked as a PR Intern at I/D Public Relations in 2008. In 2009, Sara joined Conversation as the Director of Social Media, where they played a key role in conceptualizing and optimizing social marketing efforts for over 20 clients. Sara received a nomination for the "Best Brand Use of Facebook" Mashable Open Web Award for their work with The Children's Place. Sara then moved on to Buddy Media in 2011, where they served as an Account Manager. In 2012, they became the Director of Social Strategy at DiMassimo Goldstein (DIGO). Sara's roles then transitioned to Code and Theory, where they served as a Creative Strategist from 2014 to 2016, a Senior Creative Strategist from 2016 to 2017, an Associate Creative Strategy Director from 2017 to 2020, and the Director of Communications and Channel Strategy from 2020 to 2022. Currently, Sara holds the position of Senior Director of Creative Strategy at Code and Theory, starting in May 2022.
Sara Bekerman earned their Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and Psychology from the University of Central Florida, graduating in 2009.
