Kostis Kapelonis has worked in various roles in the software industry since 2008. From 2008 to 2009, they worked as a Senior Analyst Programmer at Trasys, where they were responsible for JavaEE programming for EU projects. From 2009 to 2011, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Golden Deal, where they were responsible for distributed programming in Java for the back-end of xe.gr. From 2011 to 2012, they worked as an Editor at InfoQ, writing news items and articles for the Java Queue. From 2012 to 2016, they worked as a Senior Analyst Programmer and Software Architect/Team Lead at NRB, where they were responsible for JavaEE programming for large scale projects of European Agencies and the complete design and back-end architecture of a workflow application for EMA publications. From 2016 to 2018, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Blizzard Entertainment, where they were part of the core team responsible for helping implementation teams with releases, infrastructure, testing and deployments. From 2018 to present, they have worked as a Senior Developer Advocate and Developer Advocate at Codefresh, where they are a technology evangelist for the Codefresh Software Delivery Platform and is now managing/mentoring a team of Developer Advocates. Kostis has also co-authored the first ever ArgoCD certification and is an Argo Maintainer. Additionally, from 2013 to 2014, they worked as a Technical Author at Manning Publications Co., where they authored a book on the Spock Testing Framework, and from 2013 to 2014, they worked as a Rebel Labs Content Writer at ZeroTurnaround.

Kostis Kapelonis completed an MSc in Computing and Software Technology from Swansea University in 2004. Prior to that, they obtained a Ptychion in Computer Science from Panepistimio Kritis between 1999 and 2003.
