Dr. Prasanga Gayanath Mantilaka

Dr. Prasanga Gayanath Mantilaka has a diverse work experience, with a strong focus on scientific research and innovation. From 2023, they have served as the Director of Scientific Research and Innovation at CodeGen International. Prior to this, they held several academic positions at the Postgraduate Institute of Science (PGIS), University of Peradeniya, including Visiting Senior Lecturer and Senior Lecturer Gr. II. During their time at PGIS, they were involved in lecturing, supervising research students, and conducting postgraduate teaching and research.

Dr. Mantilaka has also served as a Research Fellow (Patent) at Rabdan Academy and as a Scientist and co-investigator at the Center for Nanodevices Fabrication and Characterization, Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka. Additionally, they have held the position of Director on the Board of Directors at Nanochem Technologies Sri Lanka and served as Chairman/Director at the Institute of Materials Engineering and Technopreneurships (IMETECHNO). Dr. Prasanga Gayanath has also worked as the Director and Chief of Innovations at Virtual Industrial Solutions (VIS) Pvt Ltd.

Prior to these roles, Dr. Mantilaka held positions at SLINTEC Academy (Sri Lanka Institute of Nanotechnology) and Sri Lanka Institute of Nanotechnology (SLINTEC). At SLINTEC, they served as a Senior Lecturer Gr. II, Senior Scientist/Coordinator of Advanced Materials Area, and Post-Doctoral Fellow.

Before entering academia, Dr. Mantilaka worked as a Research Assistant at ATG® - Intelligent Glove Solutions.

Dr. Prasanga Gayanath Mantilaka earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Nanotechnology from the Postgraduate Institute of Science (PGIS), University of Peradeniya, from 2011 to 2014. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Applied Sciences at the University of Peradeniya from 2007 to 2011. In their earlier education, they obtained their Advanced Level qualification in Biological and Physical Sciences from Kingswood College, Kandy in 2005.
