Charles Macfarlane

Charles Macfarlane has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Charles'smost recent role was Chief Business Officer at Codeplay Software, where they focused on enabling AI to be open, safe, and accessible. Prior to that, they held the position of VP Marketing at the same company, leading marketing, sales, and business development efforts for OpenCL and SYCL middleware into heterogeneous processing solutions.

Before joining Codeplay Software, Charles worked at Broadcom as an Associate Director of Product Marketing and as a Senior Product Line Manager. At NXP Semiconductors, they served as a Product Marketing Manager, Applications Manager, and Applications Engineer. Charles started their career at GEC Plessey Semiconductors as an Application Engineer and later held the role of Design Engineer at Pioneer Digital Design Centre Ltd as well as GEC Plessey Semiconductors.

Charles Macfarlane completed their Bachelor of Engineering with Honors degree in Electronics and Microprocessor Engineering from the University of Glasgow. Charles attended the university from 1987 to 1991.
