Julien Massieu

Julien Massieu has a diverse work experience in the commodities and finance industry. Julien is currently working as the Head of Freight Derivatives at COFCO International since November 2019. Prior to this, they were the Head of Options at Thurlestone Shipping from February 2019 to October 2019. From 2016 to 2018, they served as a Senior Dry Freight Strategist at Oldendorff Carriers GmbH & Co. KG. Before that, they worked as a Dry Freight and Energy Derivatives Trader at BTG Pactual Commodities from April 2013 to August 2015. Julien also has experience as a Grains and Oilseeds Derivatives Trader at UNION INVIVO from February 2011 to March 2013 and as a Risk Management Consultant at BNP Paribas Investment Partners from October 2008 to October 2010. Julien started their career as a Risk Management Analyst/Developer at Newedge in 2006.

Julien Massieu completed their MSc in Finance, Trading, and International Trade from Paris ESLSCA Business School in 2009. Prior to that, they obtained their MSc in Engineering - Computer Science from ESIEE PARIS in 2006.
