Ashley Atkins

Ashley Atkins worked at COFENSE from August 2016 to the present as a Threat Analyst. In this role, they actively monitored and reviewed suspicious emails, investigated reported emails to determine threats, and examined phishing sites and malware.

Prior to that, Ashley worked at Jack Henry & Associates from July 2012 to August 2016. Ashley started as a Technical Support Representative and provided level 1 support for banking software applications. Ashley later became a Technical Support Representative, Advanced, where they handled minor to complex application issues and escalated issues to management and level 2 support. Finally, they served as a Technical Support Engineer, providing level 2 support for BSA/AML and fraud detection banking software applications. In this role, they debugged Java-based applications and SQL Stored Procedures to identify issues and reported potential defects/bugs.

Ashley Atkins obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Information Systems from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in the year 2011. Ashley later pursued further education and obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Learning Experience Design and Education Technology from Western Governors University between the years 2023 and 2024. Additionally, Ashley obtained a certification in CompTIA Security+ from CompTIA in November 2020. In 2023, they also attended IDOL courses Academy, where they studied Instructional Design and eLearning Development. However, the duration of their enrollment at IDOL courses Academy is not specified.
