Brian Cheung

Brian Cheung has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. 👨🏻‍💻 Brian started their career as an Intern at the United States Department of Justice in 2007. Following that, they worked as a Project Coordinator at the National Association of State Budget Officers, where they managed the ground-up overhaul of the organization's website and oversaw the development and execution of their social media strategy. At the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association, Brian served as a Special Projects Assistant and later as a Special Projects Coordinator, where they planned and executed their annual conference.

Brian joined the American Society for Engineering Education as a Web Developer and later became a Senior Web Developer. 👨🏻‍💻 Brian developed, maintained, and improved web-based applications and served as a primary point of contact for program managers. At COFENSE, they held various positions, including Manager, Senior Manager, Director, and Senior Director of Software Engineering. In these roles, they led engineering teams, developed and delivered enterprise applications, managed resource planning, and provided technical leadership.

Brian also contributed to the education sector. 👨🏻‍💻 Brian volunteered as a Teacher for the TEALS-K12 program, remotely teaching Introduction to Computer Science to underprivileged high school students. Additionally, they worked as a Mentor at CareerFoundry GmbH, providing instructional guidance and code review for students in the Web Developer course.
