Dave Chamberlain

Dave Chamberlain has over 25 years of experience in software engineering, architecture, and management. Dave has held various technical roles in different companies, demonstrating expertise in product design, architecture, and infrastructure development.

Their most recent position was as the Chief Architect at COFENSE, where they led and managed a team of architects across multiple remote and international product teams. Dave was responsible for ensuring compliance with Service Level Agreements, design, risk analysis, scalability, and data privacy regulations while maintaining SOC2 Type2 and FedRAMP compliance.

Prior to COFENSE, Chamberlain worked as a Principal Engineer and Lead Architect at edX/MIT, where they contributed to the enhancement of functionality and transitioned older services to newer ones in a micro-service architecture.

Before that, they served as a Software Architect at Lola, where they focused on developing architectural solutions. Chamberlain was also a Founding Engineer and Software Architect at Lineage Labs, where they played a key role in designing and developing an on-prem consumer device.

In addition to their industry experience, Chamberlain has served as an Adjunct Graduate Professor at Southern New Hampshire University, where they designed and created graduate-level coursework for technology courses. Dave also worked as a Technology Education Teacher at SAU 24, where they taught technology education to students.

Chamberlain began their career as a Principal Software Engineer and Manager at MV Communications, Inc., an independent Internet Service Provider. Dave developed software, maintained systems, and interacted with telecommunication providers. Before that, they worked as a Software Engineer in various consulting roles.

Throughout their career, Chamberlain has demonstrated strong technical skills in areas such as software development, architecture, infrastructure design, and compliance. Dave has extensive experience working in collaborative and agile environments, and their expertise spans multiple domains, including cloud infrastructure, micro-service architecture, and secure communications.

Dave Chamberlain has a diverse education history. Dave obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from Bridgewater State University from 1981 to 1986. Following this, they pursued their Master of Education (M.Ed) degree in Education at Southern New Hampshire University from 2004 to 2006. In order to further enhance their knowledge in the field of Computer Science, Dave also completed graduate classes in Computer Software Engineering at the University of Massachusetts Lowell at some point in their academic career. Most recently, from 2016 to 2019, they earned their Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from Bridgewater State University.
