Coach for Encore Prize Award at CoGenerate (Formerly Encore.org)

Claudia Bach has extensive work experience in various educational organizations and non-profits. Claudia started their career as the Superintendent of Schools at Andover Public Schools from 1998 to 2010. After that, they worked as the Director of Educator Policy, Preparation, and Leadership at the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education from 2010 to 2013. During this time, they played a key role in implementing the Great Teachers and Leaders section of the Race to the Top grant, including the new Educator Evaluation system.

Since 2013, Claudia has held several leadership positions in different organizations. These include being a member of the Governance Board of Directors at the New Orleans Early Childhood STEM Academy from 2013 to 2015, a consultant and Encore Fellow at Education Pioneers from 2015 to 2016, and a member of the Boston Alumni Board at Education Pioneers from 2016 to the present.

Claudia has also been involved in various roles at other organizations. Claudia served as a member of the Board of Trustees and Executive, Strategic Planning, & Marketing Committees at The Pike School from 2011 to the present. Claudia worked as a member of the Advisory Council at Mistral Music from 2016 to the present. Claudia was also a member of the Alumni Council at the Harvard University Graduate School of Education from 2017 to the present. Finally, Claudia served as a Coach for the Encore Prize Award at Encore.org from 2017 to the present.

Claudia Bach obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in English and History from The Ohio State University. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Labor Relations and Negotiations at Harvard Graduate School of Education from 1989 to 1990. Later, they completed their Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in the Urban Superintendents Program at Harvard Graduate School of Education from 1990 to 1994.
