Anna Guarnieri

Anna Guarnieri is a seasoned professional in the field of molecular biology and drug discovery, currently serving as a Senior Team Leader at Cogent Biosciences since April 2021. Prior to this role, Anna held positions at Pfizer as a Sr. Scientist specializing in Cell and Translational Biology and contributed significantly to small molecule drug discovery programs. Anna's academic journey includes postdoctoral research at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, focusing on p53-dependent apoptosis, and a PhD in Molecular Biology, where research centered on miRNAs in breast cancer progression. Additionally, Anna has experience in teaching as Affiliate Faculty at Regis University and has held research positions at Washington University in St. Louis and Tyco Healthcare Mallinckrodt. Anna holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Truman State University.
