Yannis Panagakis

Yannis Panagakis has extensive experience in machine learning and signal processing. Yannis is currently serving as an Associate Professor of Machine Learning and Signal Processing at the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens since November 2019. In addition, they are a Cofounder and AI Research Lead at Cogitat, starting from October 2021. Yannis has also worked as a Honorary Research Fellow at Imperial College London since June 2020. Prior to that, they held roles as a Research Fellow and Research Associate at Imperial College London from July 2012 to October 2019. Yannis also has experience as a Senior Researcher at Samsung Electronics AI Center from October 2018 to September 2019. Before that, they worked as an Associate Professor and Assistant Professor at Middlesex University from September 2016 to August 2019.

Yannis Panagakis has a Bachelor's degree in Informatics and Telecommunications from Ethnikon kai Kapodistriakon Panepistimion Athinon. Yannis also holds a Master's degree in Digital Media and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science, both from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH).
