Mehdi Lame'e

Senior data scientist at Cogitativo

Mehdi Lame'e has extensive experience in data science and astrophysics. Mehdi began their career in 2007 as an Intern at the Institute for Physics and Mathematics (IPM), where they worked as a data collector and observer. In 2009, they became an Astronomy graduate student and LExS scholar at Leiden University, where they developed a pipeline to fit and model spectrums of hundreds of galaxies. From 2011 to 2017, they were a Senior Data Scientist and a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Minnesota. In 2016, they were a Planetary/Data Scientist at the NASA Ames Research Center's Frontier Development Lab. In 2017, they were a Data Science Fellow at Insight Data Science and a Senior Data Scientist at eBay. Finally, in 2019, they became a Senior Data Scientist at Cogitativo.

Mehdi Lame'e obtained a Bachelor's degree in Atomic Physics from Shiraz University in 2009. Mehdi then went on to receive a Master of Science in Astronomy and Astrophysics from Leiden University in 2011. Mehdi is currently in the process of obtaining a Ph.D in Astrophysics from the University of Minnesota, which is expected to be completed in 2016. In addition, they have obtained three certifications: Machine Learning: Regression from Coursera Course Certificates in 2016, Machine Learning Foundations: A Case Study Approach from Coursera Course Certificates in 2015, and NRAO VLA Synthesis Imaging Workshop.
