Eugene Kamarchik has a diverse work experience in various roles related to data science and software development. Eugene currently serves as the Director of Data Science at Cognira since July 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Principal Data Scientist at Catalina USA from June 2019 to June 2022. Between May 2018 and June 2019, Eugene was a Senior Scientist at Cognira. Earlier in their career, they served as a Senior Software Developer at LogicBlox from September 2014 to April 2018. Eugene's work involved designing and implementing an in-house machine learning toolkit. Eugene also has experience in scientific computing, having worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Sandia National Laboratories from September 2011 to September 2014. During this time, they developed high-performance algorithms for scientific computing, with a focus on combustion chemistry. Prior to that, Eugene was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Emory University from 2008 to 2011, where they conducted theoretical research on quantum vibrational states and developed a software package for accurate calculations.
Eugene Kamarchik pursued their education in the field of Chemistry. From 2000 to 2004, they attended Rice University, where they received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree. Later, they enrolled at the University of Chicago from 2004 to 2008 to further their education and earned a PhD in Chemistry.
