Wael Othmani

Wael Othmani has held various roles in the data science field since 2015. In 2015, they were an Engineering Intern at Orange, where they worked on measuring Quality of Experience (QoE) in a video streaming context. In 2016, they were a Data Scientist at Predictix, LLC and Infor, where they worked on demand forecasting for a Tier 1 American retailer. Wael was responsible for analyzing issues coming from the client and suggesting changes to the forecasting engine. From 2018 to present, they have been a Senior Data Scientist and Data Science Manager at Cognira. As a Senior Data Scientist, their responsibilities include contributing to translating a Legacy Demand Forecasting System and participating in Data Science PoCs. As a Data Science Manager, their responsibilities include building a hiring strategy, screening resumes, interviewing, and defining a data science assignment.

Wael Othmani obtained an Engineer's degree in Telecommunications Engineering from SUP'COM between 2012 and 2015. Prior to that, they attended the Preparatory Institute for Engineering Studies - El-Manar (IPEIEM) between 2010 and 2012, studying Math and Physics. Additionally, they have obtained numerous certifications, such as Probabilistic Deep Learning with TensorFlow 2 from Coursera Course Certificates in 2021, Big Data Fundamentals via PySpark from DataCamp in 2019, and Introduction to TensorFlow in Python from DataCamp in 2019.
