Kara Meunier

Kara Meunier has work experience spanning from 2014 to the present in various industries. Kara currently holds the position of Data Scientist II at Cognite since December 2021. Prior to this, Kara worked as a Geophysicist II at PGS from January to December 2021 and as a Geophysicist from January to December 2020 at the same company. Before joining PGS, they worked as a Geologist at Lundin Energy Norway from June to December 2019. During this time, they also had a summer internship as a Geologist and was responsible for extending regional grids in the southern North Sea. Kara also gained valuable experience as a Summer Intern at Equinor from July to September 2019, where they were involved in investigating Eocene leads and prospects in the northern North Sea. Prior to this, they had another summer internship at Lundin Energy Norway in 2018, where they worked in the Exploration Prospects Department and focused on seismic interpretation and well correlation. In addition to their oil and gas industry experience, Kara also has experience working as a Bartender at Spirit Pub Company in 2014 and as a Room Service Attendant at Xanterra Travel Collection from June to August 2014.

Kara Meunier has a diverse education history. Kara began their undergraduate studies at Imperial College London in 2013 and graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Geology and Geophysics. After their undergraduate studies, Kara pursued further education at the University of Oslo (UiO), where they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Petroleum Geophysics from 2017 to 2019.

In 2018, Kara also completed a short course, Course AG-349, on Geological Constraints on CO2 Storage at The University Centre in Svalbard. Additionally, they further enhanced their language skills by completing the Norwegian Language and Literature for International Students program (Trinn 1, 2 og 3) at the University of Oslo.

Recently, in 2020, Kara returned to Imperial College to attend the Imperial College Business School, where they are currently pursuing a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Business Analytics, expected to be completed in 2022.

In terms of certifications, Kara has completed several additional courses to complement their education. In December 2021, they obtained the CDF Basics Completion Certificate and the Working with CDF Basics Completion Certificate from Cognite Academy. Furthermore, they obtained a Norwegian Language Certificate at Level B2 from the University of Oslo in August 2017.
