Kristin Hærnes Ihlen

Kristin Hærnes Ihlen has diverse work experience in the design field. Kristin Hærnes is currently working as a Senior designer at Cognite AS since June 2020. Prior to this, they had their own company called Kristin Ihlen industridesign where they worked as an Illustrator and graphic designer. Kristin Hærnes also worked as a Senior Industrial Designer at K8 Industridesign from August 2019 to June 2020. Before that, they were involved in packaging development at Diplom-Is from January 2016 to August 2019. Kristin co-founded Physical Design AS, where they worked as an Industrial Designer from January 2014 to January 2016. Kristin Hærnes started their career as a student at NTNU from August 2008 to January 2014. Additionally, they co-founded Pi Medical in January 2013, and worked as a summer intern in interaction design and UX at Visma in 2011. Kristin Hærnes also had an internship as an Industrial Design Intern at K8 industridesign from August 2011 to December 2011. Kristin briefly studied at Boston University School of Management in 2013.

Kristin Hærnes Ihlen completed their Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Industrial and Product Design Engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in the period from 2008 to 2014. Kristin Hærnes also pursued additional studies at NTNU School of Entrepreneurship during 2012-2013. Furthermore, in 2013, they attended Boston University for a short-term program focused on Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies. In 2012, they participated in a program at the University of Buenos Aires, which concentrated on Industrial and Product Design. Additionally, in 2007, Kristin obtained a Trainer 1 certification from The Norwegian Olympic and Paralympic Committee and Confederation of Sports (NIF) in the field of education for youths in martial arts.
