Maksym Kowalski

Maksym Kowalski has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Maksym started their career as a Web Development Intern at FHU Monolith in 2010, where they gained experience in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. During their internship, they focused on creating user-friendly websites and improving web functionality.

After their internship, Kowalski worked as the Founder and General Manager of Monolith Trade, Ltd. from 2013 to 2014. In this role, they were involved in international business and trade between Europe and China. Maksym conducted market research, developed new business opportunities, managed client-supplier communication, and set up and managed the company's office in Hong Kong.

Kowalski then embarked on a freelance career as a Web Developer, specializing in creating presentational websites and web applications for Chinese and international clients. Maksym worked with AngularJS, MEAN Stack, and WordPress and provided design assistance, planning, and after-sale service to their clients.

In 2015, Kowalski joined Alko Export as a Web Developer for a brief period. Maksym was responsible for web development tasks within the company.

From 2015 to 2017, Kowalski worked as a Lead Front-end Developer at Tripint Information Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. During their time there, they delivered multiple websites and web applications for the Chinese HR industry. Maksym led a team of four developers, provided guidance and professional training, and maintained communication with design and product development teams.

In 2017, Kowalski joined DNV as an Analytics Full Stack Engineer. Maksym later transitioned to the role of Veracity Full Stack Developer in 2019. At DNV, they primarily focused on creating rich web applications for B2B customers in maritime and renewable energy industries. Maksym played various roles within the company, driving digitalization with the Veracity platform.

Most recently, Kowalski joined Cognite as a Principal Software Engineer in 2022, where they continue their work in software development and engineering.

Throughout their career, Kowalski has gained expertise in web development, team leadership, project management, and international business.

Maksym Kowalski attended the Center of International Programs, Donghua University from 2011 to 2015, where they earned a Bachelor of Economics in International Trade with a field of study in International Business/Trade/Commerce. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications, including "Epic React" by Kent C. Dodds from egghead.io in October 2021, "Security Green Belt Level Developer" from DNV in September 2021, "GraphQL with React: The Complete Developers Guide" from Udemy in November 2018, and various certifications from Pluralsight, Coursera, and Udemy in the fields of web development, JavaScript, and programming.
