Shane Gabie

Chief Enterprise Architect at COGNITIVE MEDICAL SYSTEMS INC

Shane Gabie has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and roles. Shane is currently serving as the Chief Enterprise Architect at Cognitive Medical Systems Inc starting from May 2023. Prior to this, they worked at AmerisourceBergen as an Enterprise Architect from December 2014 to May 2023, where they were responsible for modernizing integration technologies and designing infrastructure solutions.

Before joining AmerisourceBergen, Shane worked as a Web Services Architect and Contractor at Comcast from July 2012 to April 2014, contributing to the development of enterprise data access services. Shane also has experience as a self-employed consultant, delivering architecture designs and standards using UML and Agile methods from May 1995 to November 2011.

Furthermore, Shane served as an Enterprise Architect, Practice Lead Open Source, and Director of Technology & Architecture at Unisys from April 2005 to March 2009. Shane was involved in open-source program delivery and developed technology solutions for bridging multiple point solutions. Shane has also held senior engineering and chief architect roles at Johnson & Johnson and Chase Manhattan Corporation, respectively. Earlier in their career, Shane worked as an architect at Accenture, Solutions Architect at Wyeth, and Software Architect at Astra Merck.

Shane Gabie completed an MBA degree in IT Management and Global Management at the University of Phoenix from 2003 to 2005. Prior to that, they obtained a BA degree in Economics and Computer Science from Carleton University, attending from 1980 to 1984. Alongside their formal education, Shane also holds additional certifications including SAFe Certified Scrum Master from Scaled Agile, Inc. and Architecture Tradeoff Analysis from Carnegie Mellon University. Shane has also received certifications in POPM and SSM from Scaled Agile Framework Certification Training.
