Dr. Joel Raskin MD brings over 35 years of clinical, academic, and pharmaceutical research and medical affairs experience to his neuroscience consulting practice.
Dr. Raskin completed his medical training in 1981 and his psychiatric residency in 1986 at the University of Toronto, becoming a staff psychiatrist with the Departments of Psychiatry and Oncology at the Mt. Sinai Hospital, University of Toronto. Dr. Raskin was the Chief of Mental Health Services at the Ajax and Pickering General, then the Head of the Depression Clinic at the Center for Addiction and Mental Health, University of Toronto. He was a community and academic psychiatrist, and consultant to public and private industry, before joining Eli Lilly in 1999.
Dr. Raskin has engaged with governments, regulators, payers, scientific organizations, physicians, educators, and advocacy groups. He has published nearly 100 articles and has presented at international conferences and academic institutions. He continues to coach and mentor aspiring researchers and professionals.
