Christian Silva

Christian Silva has extensive experience in the field of data analytics and business strategy. Christian has been working at Cognodata since 2014, where they started as a Data & Analytics Senior Consultant. In this role, they were responsible for assessing business requirements and developing data-driven solutions using statistical and machine learning models. Christian also collaborated with contractors and client teams for project implementation. In 2018, Christian was promoted to the role of Data & Analytics Project Manager, where they led data science and data engineering projects. Christian assessed business opportunities, deployed data architectures in cloud environments, and developed machine learning use cases using SQL, R, Python, and Scala. In January 2022, Christian became the Data & Analytics Director at Cognodata. Christian is currently leading the data and analytics department, driving value creation with data, and delivering results to upper management teams. Prior to joining Cognodata, Christian worked as a Business Intelligence Senior Manager at Grupo Salinas and as a Marketing Science Manager at GfK.

Christian Silva obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, which they completed from 2007 to 2011. After their bachelor's degree, they pursued various certifications and exams related to actuarial science through the Society of Actuaries. These include exams in Probability, Financial Mathematics, and Models - Life Contingencies, as well as VEE (Validation by Educational Experience) credits in Applied Statistics, Corporate Finance, and Economics.

In addition to their actuarial education, Christian has also obtained several certifications in Microsoft technologies. These include certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Scientist Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Fundamentals, Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals, Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert, DP-200 Implementing an Azure Data Solution, DP-201 Designing an Azure Data Solution, Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate, and Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate. Christian has also completed exams AZ-400 Designing and Implementing Microsoft DevOps Solutions, AZ-300 Microsoft Azure Architect Technologies, and AZ-301 Microsoft Azure Architect Design, leading to the certification of Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.

Furthermore, Christian has pursued additional certifications and courses outside the field of actuarial science and Microsoft technologies. These include completing courses such as Scrapy: Powerful Web Scraping & Crawling with Python and Bayesian Machine Learning in Python: A/B Testing from Udemy. Christian has also demonstrated language proficiency by achieving a Duolingo English Fluency level of Proficient (Estimated) and a Duolingo French Fluency level of Advanced (Estimated).
