Alicja Mahr

Alicja Mahr has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering and IT. Alicja started their career in 2017 as a Software Developer at JBR Property Inspections, where they created and maintained CRM and ticket software and automated the home inspection report generation process. Alicja then worked at FaZe Clan as a Software Engineer, developing chat bots for the Discord platform and deploying public-facing server instances.

In 2020, Alicja joined Syft as a Backend/Automation Engineer, where they developed and maintained API integrations and researched new technologies for improving employee efficiency. Alicja also served as the Head of IT and Security at Syft, managing Google Workspaces, GitHub, and Jira organizations, and developing company-wide security procedures.

Alicja joined Pinnacle as a Backend Engineer in 2020 before transitioning to the Faculty of Computing & Data Sciences at Boston University as a Teaching Assistant in 2022.

Currently, Alicja is working at Cohere as a Software Engineer Intern, where they have integrated NLP and image generation models into the Discord platform and designed user interfaces for server administrators. Alicja has also implemented logging systems for collecting analytics and informing future feature design.

Alicja Mahr began their education in 2017 at Chattanooga State Community College, where they pursued an Associate of Arts degree in General Studies. Alicja attended the college until 2020. In 2021, Alicja enrolled at Boston University to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Data Science. Alicja'stime at Boston University is expected to conclude in 2025.
