Ricardo Hornedo has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Ricardo is currently working at Cohere as a Code Prompt Engineer. Prior to this, they worked at Global Factor as a Senior Energy Consultant, where they focused on long-term decarbonisation strategies and climate change mitigation analysis. In previous roles, they worked as a Renewable Energy Specialist at FocalSun and Mobile Broadband Network Ltd, leading teams and designing renewable energy modules to reduce CO2 emissions. Ricardo also worked as a Junior Account Manager at Fundación Dondé Porvenir, where they played a pivotal role in strategic planning and techno-economic assessments for renewable energy development. Ricardo began their career at Siemens as part of the Engineer Development Programme and later worked as a Production Control Analyst at Profuturo, where they automated processes using VBA programming. Ricardo also worked as an Event Coordinator at POP, where they successfully coordinated commercial events and achieved significant sales increases for clients.
Ricardo Hornedo holds a diverse educational background. Ricardo first pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Industrial Engineering, specializing in Industrial Engineering (First-class Honours), at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México from 2012 to 2016. During this time, they also completed an eighth-semester in Industrial Engineering at the Escuela de Ingeniería de Antioquia in 2015.
In 2019, Ricardo enrolled in Cranfield University and attained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Renewable Energy, completing their studies in 2020.
Continuing their education, Ricardo pursued a Graduate Certificate in Information Technology at Humber College from 2022 to 2024.
Additionally, Ricardo sought to enhance their skills by obtaining several certifications. Ricardo obtained a Certificado de soporte de TI de Google from Coursera in April 2023. In April 2021, they acquired certifications in Design Thinking: Data Intelligence, Learning MATLAB, Python for Data Visualization, SAP ERP: Beyond the Basics, and SOLIDWORKS: Advanced Tools from LinkedIn.
