Yuxiang Zhang has been in the engineering field since 2015. Yuxiang began their career as a Research Assistant at the University of Michigan, where they used Molecular Dynamics method to simulate the nucleation and growth of alkali halide compounds from their melts. In 2016, they took on the role of R&D Assistant, Capstone Design Project at UAES, where they demonstrated the functionality of the electronically controlled clutch (E-clutch) system. In 2017, they became a Principal Investigator at Ford Motor Company's MSR Lab at UM. In 2018, they worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Coherix, Inc. and as a Mechanical Engineer Intern at FlexDex Surgical.
Yuxiang Zhang began their educational journey in 2012 at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Yuxiang then moved to the University of Michigan in 2014, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Materials Science and Engineering. Finally, in 2016, Yuxiang Zhang returned to the University of Michigan to pursue a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, which they completed in 2018.
