Alex Mead has a diverse work experience across various industries. In 2022, they worked as a Technical Research Analyst at Coin Metrics, where they conducted research on Bitcoin, Crypto, and Decentralized Finance. They wrote internal and external reports, contributed to product R&D, and explored various technical aspects of blockchain technology.

Later, they pursued higher studies at the University of California, Berkeley, where they earned a Master's Degree in Civil Systems Engineering in 2012. Alex further continued their education at the University of California, Berkeley, and completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Civil Systems Engineering in 2017.
