Matt Hegel

Matt Hegel is the current Chief Financial Officer at Coin Metrics. Prior to their current role, Matt served as the CFO at Freshly from March 2017 to February 2022. Matt has also held positions as an Advisory Board Member at FANCHEST from November 2015 to February 2020, Head of Finance / Controller at Bark & Co. from November 2014 to March 2017, and Controller at LearnVest, Inc. from November 2012 to November 2014.

Matt began their career in 2006 as an Audit Senior at Deloitte & Touche. Matt later became an Audit Intern at Deloitte & Touche in January 2005, where they performed audit testing procedures for clients in the retail, technology, media, and communications industries. In 2009, Matt joined Sony Music Entertainment as a Senior Accountant and then moved to AppNexus in 2011 as the Manager of Accounting & Financial Reporting.

Matt Hegel is a Certified Public Accountant and received their B.S. in Accounting from Lehigh University.

Matt Hegel's educational career includes a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, as well as an M.S. in Integrated Marketing from New York University. Matt is also a certified CPA from the New York State Education Department.
