Fatma Bao

Fatma Bao has a diverse work experience spanning over 17 years. FATMA currently serves as the Head of Export Finance at Colas since 2022. Prior to this role, they were a Manager in Specialized Finance at African Export-Import Bank from 2017 to 2022.

Before joining Afreximbank, Fatma worked at HSBC in various roles. FATMA served as a Client Manager in Commodity & Structured Trade Finance from 2016 to 2017, Head of Middle-Office Structured Finance Team from 2014 to 2016, Structured Finance Middle-Office Manager from 2012 to 2014, Loan IQ Project Manager from 2010 to 2012, and Middle-Office Manager in Structured Finance from 2008 to 2010.

Prior to their tenure at HSBC, Fatma worked as a Credit Analyst at Le Credit Lyonnais in 2007 and as a Financial Analyst at La Fiduciaire de l'Entreprise in 2006. FATMA began their career as an Accountant at Renault Trucks in 2005.

Fatma Bao has a Master's degree in Finance from Université Jean Moulin (Lyon III), which was obtained from 2005 to 2007. In 2013, they attended HSBC Business School to study Finance of International Trade, and in 2015, they completed a Certificate in Project Finance from EFE. Additionally, they obtained a Certificate for Specialists in Demand Guarantees (CSDG) from The London Institute of Banking & Finance in 2019.
