Peter Koo

Peter Koo is an accomplished academic and researcher currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory since 2019. Prior to this role, Peter Koo worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Harvard University from 2015 to 2019, where significant advancements were made in deep convolutional networks for predicting RNA-binding protein affinities and understanding genomic regulatory sequence representations. Peter Koo's early research at Yale University (2010-2015) focused on machine learning models for protein diffusion characterization and chromatin's influence on nuclear mechanics.
