Dan Long

Dean of Students at College for Creative Studies

Dan Long is currently the Dean of Students at the College for Creative Studies. Dan has been in this role since July 2012. Prior to this, they served as the Asst. Director of Student Life & Student Ombudsman at the College for Creative Studies from June 2005 to July 2012.

Dan Long's educational career began with a B.A. in English Language and Literature from Grand Valley State University. Dan then went on to earn an M.A. in Higher Education Administration from The University of Akron. Finally, they earned a Doctor of Education - EdD in Educational Leadership and Administration, General from Wayne State University.

Dan Long reports to Nadine Ashton, Dean of Academic Affairs. They are on a team with Tim Flattery - Dean of Undergraduate Studies, Ian Lambert - Dean of Graduate Studies, and Matt Chung - Chair, Staff Assembly Executive Committee.
