Nicole Thomas

Nicole Thomas, MPH, is a director at the College of American Pathologists (CAP) since July 2009, overseeing the evidence-based guideline department and supervising staff involved in guideline development. In previous roles, Thomas served as a senior manager in guideline development, where responsibilities included leading evidence-based pathology guidelines and managing various aspects of guideline impact assessment and communication. As a cytology technical specialist, Thomas contributed to Cytopathology education programs and managed proficiency testing programs. Thomas began a career as a cytotechnologist at Mount Sinai Hospital Medical Center of Chicago, processing Pap tests and non-gynecologic cytology cases. Educational credentials include a Master of Public Health from the University of Illinois Chicago, a certificate in Cytotechnology from Johns Hopkins Hospital, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Kentucky State University.
