Morgan Hughey

Morgan Hughey is an accomplished academic and researcher in public health, currently serving as an Associate Professor in the Department of Health and Human Performance at the College of Charleston since August 2017. Previous roles include Assistant Professor at the same institution and Research Project Manager at the University of South Carolina, where Morgan completed a PhD in Health Promotion, Education, and Behavior. Research interests focus on obesity prevention, active living, and the health implications of parks and green spaces. Morgan has taught various public health courses and has contributed to community health initiatives through roles such as Partnership and Project Coordinator at LiveWell Greenville. Educational qualifications include a PhD and a Master's degree from the University of South Carolina, along with a Bachelor's degree from Furman University.
