Robert Cochrane began their work experience in 1979 as a Staff Auditor at KPMG Peat Marwick. Robert then worked at National-Louis University from 1982 to 1995, where they held the positions of Accounting Manager, Controller, and eventually Vice President for Finance. From 1995 to 1999, Cochrane served as the Associate Vice President for Finance, Budget, and Planning at Roosevelt University. Robert then became the Vice President and CFO at Sheaffer Wastewater Solutions, LLC (formerly Sheaffer International, LLC) from 1999 to 2011. Finally, Cochrane joined the College of Southern Maryland in 2011 as the Executive Director of Financial Services.
Robert Cochrane earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting from Bradley University in 1979. Robert later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Finance from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management, which they completed in 1992. Additionally, Robert Cochrane obtained certifications such as a Licensed Certified Public Accountant from the Government of the District of Columbia in December 2019, a Certified Public Accountant from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1981, and a CGMA from CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants).
