Kannan Ayyakkannu

Kannan Ayyakkannu's work experience includes a range of roles in software development and leadership. Kannan currently serves as the Senior Vice President of Software Development at Collegis Education, where they lead a team of 50+ members dedicated to improving product development for higher education and healthcare customers. Kannan is responsible for defining the product strategy, roadmap, and ensuring alignment with company growth goals.

Prior to their current role, Kannan held positions such as Vice President of Software Development at Education Management Solutions, where they played a key role in the growth of the company and contributed to expanding the market share of their SIMULATIONiQ portfolio. Kannan also served as a Solutions Architect and Director of Software Development at the same company.

Additionally, Kannan has experience as a Solutions Architect consultant at the NATIONAL BOARD OF OSTEOPATHIC MEDICAL EXAMINERS, INC, a IVR Architect consultant at Access Group, a IVR Developer consultant at the First Judicial District of Pennsylvania, a Telephony Application Developer at Enterprise Messaging Services, a Web Developer consultant at Unisys and Schlumberger, and a C++/SQL Application Developer at Ramco Systems. Kannan Ayyakkannu completed their Masters in Computer Application from Alagappa University from 1994 to 1997. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelors degree in Physics from Madurai Kamaraj University from 1991 to 1994. In addition to their formal education, they have also obtained certifications in Hadoop - Big Data Processing from DeZyre, TOGAF 9 Foundation (Enterprise Architecture) from The Open Group, TOGAF9 Silver (Enterprise Architecture) from Architecting the Enterprise, and Solution Developer from Microsoft.
